Nero Suite is not compatible with Windows 7.

Question

I had an old Nero suite version Nero OEM 6.6.0.13, Nero Digital 3.1.0.7, Nero Media Player 1.4.0.29 loaded on my old desktop running with XP OS until the PC died a few months ago. I finally found the Nero disc among some boxes in my basement a few days ago. I loaded the disc to our laptop which has a Windows 7 OS but it had message advising there is a compatibility issue with Windows 7. I tried to use it yesterday for the first time. No luck: just get a pop-up message advising of incompatibility with Windows 7. I am a senior and not tech savvy and basically use my computer to check my emails. How can I fix the compatibility problem? I like this Nero version and am familiar on how to use it and it's all I require for my limited and simple usage. It took me a long time to learn how to make use of it. Now too old to try to learn a new version. Thanking you in advance for your assistance in resolving this problem.

You have to apply a compatibility tweak, because according to various users who had the same issue, Nero 6.6 is definitely working on Windows 7. Right click the installer, then go to Properties > Compatibility. Choose Windows XP SP 3 from the list and run it. Additionally, tick the Run as Administrator box and then run it. It will show you that the program has compatibility issue, but simply press on the Run Program. If it's not working, then I am afraid a new version needs to be downloaded, or to keep it simpler, use an alternative that works "out of the box" and it's very easy to operate. Download the following EXE, install it, start it from the desktop, insert the CD/DVD then press DATA > Data Disc to create a disc with various files, drag and drop the files and that's it.
