Lost mouse drivers on last update, and Driver Assist does not shut down.

Question

Driver Assist was doing an update on my home computer when everything froze. When I rebooted, the DA program continued to run and try to install an update with no success. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse Logitech mk710. The update has killed all mouse functions for this unit, although keyboard still works. Tried a wired mouse and zero function. Unable to do anything to fix a problem using just the keyboard. How can I fix this with no mouse? Pretty fed up and will certainly not be recommending this program to anyone and if I have to bring in a tech to help fix this then I will cancel the subscription and certainly let if be know to steer clear of this program.

If the PC is connected to Internet, then you can use the keyboard to navigate and reinstall the necessary driver.

Press Windows key + R then type devmgmt.msc. Using ALT + Tab switch to the Device Manager, then use Tab key to switch the items. Once you find the one with yellow (mouse, input device), press the key next to the right Control Key. It will open the usual Right Click menu. Choose Update driver using the arrows and select Windows Update, then press Enter. Let it install the drivers, attach the keyboard and that's it.

At this time, functionality should be restored. Also, remove Driver Assist and avoid installing such applications in the future.
