Error message when installing Bentley InRoads Group on Windows 8

I use Windows 8 on my PC and when I try to install Bentley Inroad Group V8i, I get the error 1720 message: "There was problem with the installer package". Can you help me?

According to the application's requirements web page, Windows 8 isn't officially supported by Bentley InRoads Group. However, it will probably still work if you have all the other applications that the program needs:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
MSXML 6 with Service Pack 1
VBA 6.4
DirectX 9c (Dec. 2006 release)
DHTML Editing Control for Applications

In case you have all these applications and Bentley Inroads Group still doesn't work, try running it in compatibility mode with Windows 7. (Right-click the executable, then go to Properties and select Compatibility. Then select Windows 7 from the drop down menu and tick the Run as Administrator box as well)
