Internal storage can be increased only if the phone is rooted. Also, you need to install a 3rd party application that creates a partition from your SD card and transforms it into EXT2/3/4 and then links it as a system partition where apps can be installed.
Unfortunately, these procedures might brick your device and additional knowledge is needed to restore it. I wouldn't recommend it, but a good place to start it is the XDA Forums.
