Is there a cache where the gadget "Black and Dark Notes" stores the data even if you accidentally close it?

I accidentally closed the "Black and Dark Notes" gadget in Windows 7 and I had a lot of important information in there. Is there a cache somewhere that has all of that information stored?

The gadget strongly depends on the Notes default gadget found in Windows 7. Even if you close the gadget, the notes will be stored in the default file that the actual Notes gadget uses. Please navigate to this location: `%localappdata%\microsoft\windows sidebar. Just copy this command and paste it into the RUN box (Start > RUN or Windows Key +R). You will find settings.ini file in that folder. Just open it with your favorite text editor (Notepad, Wordpad, etc) and retrieve your lost notes.
