If the plug-in doesn't work as it should, then you could try its standalone version which works with or without Autocad installed. As I can see, the plug-in works with Autocad versions from R14 up to 2012 so there has to be a problem with your version of Autocad. Please go to Preferences menu in Autocad, restore the program to its default settings, then try and load the plug-in again.
