According to the user manual, you can update the firmware of the machine through an application called FSM Data Connection. The problem is that I can't find this application which means it's probably available with the machine you've acquired. I recommend checking the CD of the machine to see exactly from where you can install it.
Do not use other applications to upgrade the firmware of the machine or you'll render it useless.
