Entering data into SPSS can be achieved in two different ways:
- Directly input data into Data View using the main interface of the software, which is the most simple way.
- Input the data into a program like Excel and save the files to its original format (XLS/XLSX). From the window of the software select File > Open > Data > Select Excel file type > Select your file.
The choice is yours but either way's a choice because just like Excel, SPSS features the same interface with rows and columns so it should be easier to switch between them.
