CutePDF Writer and its components.

Question

I loaded CutePDF Writer on my new laptop as I am a great fan of this software. Once the program loaded I noticed a screen message saying that Ghost (something) might be Ghost writer was also loaded. Strange name for a piece of software - I'd just like to know if its something you are aware of and have that its part of the package?

What you have seen is actually the GhostScript, a component that is used to transform the file to PDF. It's available as an open-source licence and many applications use it when it's about XPS, PS and PDF file conversion and encapsulation.

Without the module, the CutePDF Writer won't be able to work normally.
