Yes, the chats are anonymously unless you've added important and confidential data to your profile, then the other use can see it if they're added to your Contacts list, but if you initiate a chat session with someone else and don't give any personal details, then you're completely anonymously. They can't see who you are, where are you from, email address, etc.
