Is GFK-Internet-monitor a virus?

It is installed now for 2 weeks, and it makes my computer very slow, pages won't load and freeze often.I have to keep it on for another two weeks to earn some money. Nortons (Symantec) says, it's 'bad' after running their Power Eraser. Any advice? Thanks.

We all know that GFK is a research company that pays individuals to take surveys and count various browsing habits, therefore I don't think it's a virus, as long as you've downloaded the installation package. However, Norton can also give a false positive even if the software can be legit and installed properly from the developer's website. Keep the software until you finish the job with it, then completely remove it from your PC. Try using Revo Uninstaller. It will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.
