When I click on Picasa to open the program I get a pop-up: 'This application requires at least an 800 x 600 screen resolution with 16 bit color' and the program never opens. I have more than these minimum requirements and no matter which way I try to open Picasa I cannot get it to open. This may have started when I upgraded to Windows 10 but I don't think so. Can anyone out there help?

Picasa is now a discontinued application which means that support for Windows 10 doesn't properly exists anymore, therefore this might be the cause to your issues. I recommend running the application on Compatibility Mode using right click on file then Properties > Compatibility. Select a previous version of Windows from the list and then run it again.

The developers have stated that if you downloaded the app and it works this way, then good, but they will not release any updates or fixes for issues.

Since the application is discontinued it would be better if you switch to other applications or maybe you can switch to other versions of Windows. That's all from my side. Enjoy!
