You can use SQLite Browser in order to open the DB file on your Mac OSX. The software is widely used because its available in many versions and supports a wide range of database files.
It also doesn't matter if it was created on NTFS, because if you connect a NTFS-enabled device, only read permissions will be available allowing you to copy the file locally.
