All the operations that have to be done to unlock the screen and the phone imply a factory reset which will also lead to data loss. In this case, there are two possibilities:
Send the phone to warranty and explain the situation. This can be done by contacting ZTE or your local carrier from where you've acquired the phone.
Visit a local phone service shop and they should remove the pattern by accessing protected parts of the memory.
