I am trying to share a video with friends on Facebook. It appears that I need to first convert the AVCHD format to MP4. I am using windows 8.1 My camera is an older HC-V160.
You will need a standard video converter in order to change the format to MP4. Most of the available converts already have support for both AVCHD and MP4 formats. They have some things called Presets which makes it easier to simply select the preset to save to MP4 and then add the file and the software will do the rest.
