I've checked the official website, but I didn't see anything about changelogs, compatibility, system requirements or something that should indicate what applications are necessary to be installed on your PC to use it. I don't think the OS needs to be updated right now since the application somehow works.
Try installing the latest version by downloading the package from the website and then repeat the same process. Most likely, it requires a simple update.
