My Vaio laptop keeps slowing down. It is two years old. What are the reasons? How can I correct it? It takes a long time to start.

If you haven't performed clean-up operations during the time you mentioned, then this could be the reason your laptop is running slow. Most often, the operating system keeps many temporary files, registry keys, 0 bytes files, unused drivers, etc. Having too many of these items is not recommended because the OS will try to load and map every file available on the hard disk. In this case, I recommend you run a clean-up application which takes care of the maintenance operations instead of you. CCleaner has proven to be a great application in such cases. It can remove temporary and unused files, registry keys, shortcuts, drivers, etc.

Also, please try to uninstall all the applications you frequently don't use because too many installed applications will consume more of the laptop's resources (CPU, RAM, Storage).
