It might be possible that you've installed more memory than the maximum supported by the motherboard. You need to check the manual of your laptop to see what is the maximum supported memory.

You can find this information in the manual. To download it, input the serial number of the laptop (found on the sticker attached below the laptop) into the field on this website: http://support.toshiba.com/satellite
