No display - but sound is in background.

Question

My Phantom EFX 'Alice' (Mad Tea Party) Launches normally up to 'Loading' screen. After that all I get is a blank screen with audio in background. Worked fine from initial installation (from DVD) until recently. Previous games work fine. I have Windows 7.

I checked the official website where this game is available and found out that Windows 7 is a supported operating system:

Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (32 or 64 bit) with Administrative Rights
DirectX 9.0c compatible 3D Video Card (128MB or higher)

As you can see, you need to launch the application as Administrator and have a dedicated graphics card with dedicated memory, or you'll encounter issues like the one you have.

Update the DirectX to the latest version and update the drivers for you graphics card as well, then launch the application.

Tried all the above. No difference in results.  Program works on other (backup) computer.  I have unloaded the program many times (including all references to it in the registry.  Reloading achieved nothing.
