Kaluach and Windows 10.

Question

I have used Kaluach for several years, but now that I have upgraded to Windows 10, I cannot find a link to download and install the programme. Is Kaluach compatible with Windows 10 and if so can you please point me to the download link? Thanks.

No, the software is not compatible with Windows 10. On the websites mentioned, it's listed as being compatible with XP, Vista and Windows 7, not Windows 10. However, if it has compatibility with Windows 7, then you can use Compatibility mode to run it. Right-click the setup package and choose Properties > Compatibility. Select Windows 7 from the list and launch the application.

I've had no problems installing this on Windows 10, and it's running just fine with no immediate compatabilty issues. I downloaded the file kaluach-3.2.44.26.exe (on the page http://kaluach3.software.informer.com/3.2/) and ran it to install. I added my location in the Options section and selected it under Location. That's it.

Kaluach is okay if you have nothing else to refer to. I have since got into "Jewish Calendar" which is a Windows 10 app. You should try it.

for Kaluach (and many other windows programs) the process often works simply as follows:

• copy the program to any other location on the drive (some windows versions security tag downloaded files making it awkward to install)
• right click the file - choose properties - compatibility tab - under Compatibility mode, check "run this program in compatibility mode for" - and choose Windows 7 from the drop down-down list; click ok
• run the program (double click) hope this helps
