It all depends on the way the software is configured to store the recordings. In some cases it overwrites the file and recreates a link to delete only what it recorded, that's way you'll have a time frame (set by you) which can be accessible all the time. In others it will simply stop and notify you about the storage information.
I recommend checking its built-in configuration options and alternatively, go to the installation folder of the app to look for CHM or PDF user guides.
