How does the UPEK TouchChip Fingerprint Reader work?

I have Dell Latitude E6430 series laptop, I am trying to store multiple fingerprint and I have to maintain a database with name of the user and with the exact timing while he/she swiped in fingerprint. Will this software is useful for me??

The device also contains the software. The application installs the driver and the complete application to store, control, and manage all the fingerprints swiped through the device. When you purchase the USB device, a CD with all the resources will be given to you as well.
