My Name is Heather and have just downloaded SideSync to my Windows 10 Tablet with a removable keyboard. However I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Android phone which runs, I believe Android 4.1.2 and when I looked up SideSync on the Google Play Store to download it I found that it said that it was not compatible with my device. When I tried to research a little further it seems that it is compatible with Android 4.4 and up or you must take other action. I attempted the Kies Via USB and Via WiFi after downloading Kies 2.6 (I even tried Kies 2.6 Lite which I'm not sure the difference other than the fact that its more limited and I tried and discovered that Kies 3 was not the correct Kies version that it is for Android (I believe 2.0 and above or something close to that). Needless to say I was unable to connect my device I said on my phone that it was connected to me PC (Table), but on the tablet it just continuously kept saying Connecting or Loading but never did, and I never got the two connected which then would have shown all options and full program options for Kies and I’m not sure what to do. I really want SideSync and I know that there are ways but I am only somewhat computer literate or I am not sure what to do from here. I need your help with fixing Kies Connection or is there another way or do I somehow need to (however it's done) upgrade my Android software to 4.4 if that’s possible. As you can see I really want SideSync or even another version of it. Using a different app / program that allows me to be able to access screens from my other devices. But I would really like to make the SideSync work. I absolutely loved it when I saw it. Can you please help me in regards to this matter? I would greatly appreciate it. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. Thanks again.

Even if you have the APK file, you will still have problems installing it because the phone is lacking Android 4.4 and, unfortunately, it's not possible to officially install it. Of course, there are ways, but they're complicated and besides that, the warranty and some of the functionality is compromised. I have checked the Samsung-updates website for this phone (GT-I9300) and the latest version available for installation is Android JellyBean 4.3.

In case Kies will manage to upgrade your Android, it will be Android 4.3 and the SideSync application requires Android 4.4.
