I have installed the application in a safe environment because it was a little suspicious with all the components wanted to install. Indeed the application installed itself into the Program files directory plus it also installed some browser extensions. Then I used its own Uninstaller and performed the uninstallation operation and the software was gone. No traces were left regarding additional spyware or something related. In order to uninstall it, just navigate to Start menu > All Programs > IMVU > Uninstall and follow the on screen prompts.
