The architecture of Windows 7 is somewhat different than its prior versions. When Windows was updated to version 7, many applications required that the components they used needed updating too. You could try and run the application in compatibility mode by right clicking its main executable, then go to Properties > Compatibility tab and select Windows XP from the drop-down menu and restart the applications. If this approach doesn't work, you will need to obtain a newer version of the main software which is compatible with Windows 7 operating system.
