I just updated some kind of Java (clicked on the "cup & saucer" icon. So what is this? I am not a developer, just an end user on an old computer. Do I need this? Why? Please send reply to my email.
The Java SE might have been installed with another application and I recommend you uninstall it to avoid any other issue. The only thing you should have installed is Java Runtime. There are applications that require Java Runtime in order to function properly.

Note: Reboot your PC after removing the old package and then install the one I recommended.
