I have encountered this issue in previous versions. Basically, you add the image and then leave the client as it is. Do not attempt to change the picture again. If it says Saved, then leave it just the way it is, and if the device is connected to Internet, the picture will save again. If you throttle this operation, the server will refuse to change/replace your picture.
In case you have any issues, reinstall the application using the app store on your device.
