This is an Android based phone, therefore you can hard reset it or restore it to factory defaults (reformat it) using its own menus. For Android phones, go to Settings > Backup and Reset > Factory Reset. When you activate this option, a few warnings will be displayed as well. Proceed as caution or the entire phone will be erased (including local Storage).
