How does Website.Informer get its information?

Website.Informer provides information about daily visitors and daily page views (for example http://website.informer.com/google.com has 281,908,836 visitors and 5 5,581,794,959 page views per day. How do get website.informer these information? And how are they measured or estimated and based on what informations?

There are indexers like Alexa.com website, which has spiders that monitor all the approximate search queries to provide statistics. Basically, everything is an estimation, because only Google, for example, knows the total numbers of visits. Based on my understanding Website Informer, uses websites like Alexa to crawl for statistics and all the queries.
