You can export the attributes among the TAB file and also as far as I know, the newer versions of the Autocad (from 2007 and above) will display the attributes data in the object-properties window. For older versions of Autocad, select the object and type LIST (into the command).

In order to export the attributes I would suggest you carefully perform these steps:

  1. First open a table in the software’s main window
  2. Open a BROWSER Window for the table selected
  3. From the Table menu select EXPORT
  4. Select the new location of the file then choose the new table format (.tab) and click save

That’s it. The file will be exported to the location chosen with the data selected. Now use Autocad and import the data file with the contained attributes.

You don't Export to a .tab file. You can Export to a .dxf or you can Export to a .dbf or Save As .tab.
