Other users reported the same problem regarding the use of XLink on Windows 10. You can try running the program in compatibility mode in Windows 10 by using the built-in compatibility troubleshooter. Open the Program Compatibility troubleshooter by clicking the Start button > Control Panel. In the search box, write troubleshooter, then click on Troubleshooting. Under Programs, click Run programs made for previous versions of Windows. If it doesn't work, another possible solution is to install another version of the WinPcap package that comes bundled with XLink as this helped other users.
