What you receive is considered to be adware. The original codec won't provide ads and information about your computer, especially to update the video driver.
Download and run AdwCleaner because your computer might be compromised. This is a known technique for malware to impersonate other applications.
I have the XviD codec installed and it never showed anything related to Update Video Driver.
