The main issue with the application could be related to compatibility. I recommend applying a compatibility tweak to the installer. Right click the setup package and choose Properties > Compatibility. From the drop down list, pick Windows XP then tick Run as Administrator.
Unfortunately, this is the only possible solution at this moment since the official website is not working. I have tried to access it, but it gives a DNS error. I would also recommend re-downloading the application again, if you have the possibility.
