I am getting a grey screen when I turn on my laptop.

I dropped my Windows 8 laptop and now it only gives a grey screen, no cursor, no text, nothing but a grey screen. The buttons lights are working well. When I want to turn it off I don't have to hold on the power button it turns off immediately when I press the power button. I tried to remove the battery and hold on the power button then turning it on again but it didn't work. Please help me.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can press to bring back the functionality of the laptop since the graphical/display part is faulty/damaged. That's the result when you drop a sensitive object. Very few laptops resist shocks and other physical forces. You will have to take the laptop to a laptop service shop because the warranty practically doesn't exist anymore.
