I bought a new Toshiba laptop that has Windows 8. My Thayer eField Guide Viewer Version 7 is on my older laptop with Windows 7. I have the license key. What do I need to do to get the program moved to my new laptop?

There are a couple of ways to install/transfer/move the application on the new computer.

  1. Download it again or if you purchased it, transfer the setup package and install it on the new computer, then export the data from the first computer and import it back on the newly installed version.

  2. Use a USB drive or a CD and copy the whole application from one computer to another. The default installation path should be the one from Program Files.

  3. Connect the computer between them and create a simple PC to PC network. Share the folder with the application from one computer, then access it on the second computer through Network Computers.
