Snapchat streak information

Me and my friend have a high Snapchat fire streak but I'm going to be away for a week without data or WiFi. If she keeps sending snaps to me, but I just can't open them will the streak continue or die?

Yes, you will lose your streak if you don't plan to use the application for a few days. technically, the software tracks if you send replies, but if it detects you're being away or IDLE, then the streak will end. The same thing doesn't apply to the other user you're chatting with.
