How to unhide a Snapchat story?

I was going through my stories with the recent update installed and I hid my story, but now I want it back. I've looked on every website on what to do and tried everything, but it didn't work. I've tried going to the stories and searching and it wasn't there. What do I do?

There is an official way presented by the developers of the application. That was is actually the only fix you can attempt to unhide the story. I have tried it on my phone and it works as it's described.
