When you enable Smart Lock, the phone will automatically ask you to choose a backup recovery feature (PIN, Pattern, etc). Try entering or forcing the Smart Lock to fail a couple of times and then the backup unlocking feature will be used instead. To re-enable Swipe, PIN, Pattern, go to Settings > Security > Clear credentials. Reboot the phone and you can switch between various lock screen security features.
