The first operation you have to do before transferring the files is unlocking. Unlock all the pictures and unhide them, then connect the phone to PC and use the Mass Storage option to browse the phone on the Computer. Locate the pictures and you should have the possibility to move them where you want.
Secondly, use the Email app on phone, add your email account, then create a new email and attach the pictures.
