The simplest way to update itunes is through the iTunes menu, iTunes > Check for Updates. This method applies to Mac OS X. For Windows computers, go to Help > Check for updates. The option is found in the Advanced menu. To activate it, simply press CTRL + B. Another possibility is to download a new package from the iTunes page to overwrite your installation.
