There isn't a special procedure to configure the firewall unless you actually have to open a specific port for an IP or a range of Ports, but other than that simply access the Windows Firewall or the firewall application installed in your computer and add the executable file of the application to the exclusion list. The firewall will then automatically open the necessary ports and allow traffic each time it's requested to do it without your intervention. If you're using a certain software as a firewall option, switch it to Interactive mode. Once the settings were applied, each time IBNet tries to attempt a connection, you will be notified. This is great to learn the behavior of the software.
