Scanning problem on Canon MX520 series.

I had been using my scanner periodically, but now all of a sudden I can't scan anything! It say processing, please wait momentarily, then goes right back to the menu. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If, so can someone please inform me on how to resolve?

The first thing you need to do is to restart the service that handles the scanning feature. Go to Start > run > services.msc. Locate the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service, right click it and then choose Restart. If the drivers and scanner is connected properly, you will have the possibility to scan again. Otherwise, go to Device Manager (Start > Run > devmgmt.msc), locate the scanner, right click it and choose Update driver. USe the automatic scan feature and wait for the drivers to install properly. Reboot the PC and that's it.
