The official Google Talk app isn't available anymore. In fact, it has been replaced with Hangouts. Hangouts is the new replacement for chatting purposes. However, if you don't want to use it, there is always the possibility to use an alternative like Chat for Google Talk. The app allows you to chat with your Google contacts, just like the GTalk application did.
