I wonder if you could tell me if this works on Windows 7 (64 bit)? I have version 3.6 on my XP laptop and really love it. But I'm retiring the laptop and would like this for web design work without constantly having to open the laptop and transfer files via a USB stick.

The official website of HTMLProtector doesn't work which means the software is discontinued. You will need to use an alternative. For this operation, I would like to recommend using HTML Guard. It's another HTML protecting application, but at least it's maintained and available for downloading. You can browse to the official website to find more information about it as well as supported features.
