Caller ID information when receiving a call.

How can I tell if an incoming call is actually from a different number than what appears on the Caller ID?

If the number that's calling you is added to the database with a certain caller ID, then the application will display that caller ID. If the number isn't added to your database, it should be displayed exactly as it is. There are programs used to spoof numbers, but they're rarely used to hide the actual number. The problem with VoIP is that they're pretty secure when it comes to anonymity.
