Bypassing the lock involves in using the Factory Reset option, in case you can't use a Gmail account. Turn off the phone then press Volume UP + Power to enter the Recovery Mode. Once you are in the recovery mode, select Wipe Data/Factory Reset and reboot it. After the phone booted successfully, configure it again with the help of the Config Wizard (add account, payment, date, clock, WiFi network, etc) and that's it.
