Is Sylcount compatible with Word 2013 on Windows 7?

Question

I need to know if this downloadable version of Sylcount will work for Word 2013 and Windows 7? I used a very old version of Sylcount for like 15 years, but my computer recently got infected and I had to buy a whole new system and I just need to know if this downloadable Sylcount and eventually a version I can purchase are compatible with Word 2013 in Windows 7. I work at home and I cannot work until I get a line count up and running.

I would be the happiest person on Earth if you could answer my question.

Yes, the application works with Windows 7 in both 32 and 64-bit operating mode, but unfortunately, it supports only Word 2010. There is no support for Word 2013 but I believe you can use it because 2010 and 2013 are pretty much alike. You can install it in Windows 7, but before doing it, you have to disable UAC from Start > Control panel > Users and Groups > Users > UAC. I have been using Sylcount IV Gold with Word 2013 and it counts "almost" exactly the same it did with my Word 2007. When I say exactly, I mean "pennies" different, with 2013 counting higher.

I'm truly sorry about the above statement that Sylcount Gold works with Word 2013. I was wrong. I found that Sylcount IV Gold is grossly incorrect when counting in 2013. It counts by less than 1/2 in 2013 than it does in 2007! I had to uninstall 2013 so that Sylcount would use 2007 to count.
