No, because you will actually need to install an app on the PS3 to be able to connect with the client. The file system needs to be tampered and then you can load the application and run the FTP client on your computer to transfer media files from your local PC to the Playstation 3 console.

-1 for sony and the shyttty DRM / jailing... I can't beleive WE (the customers) paid for a HW & SW locked so tight...
