If you have problems downloading, try switching to the connectivity method. Use WiFi or Data connection then if you still have problems, go to Settings > About > Reset my phone. The process might take 10-15 minutes to complete, but you can be sure the problems will be solved. After the phone starts, you need to configure it by connecting with your Live account.
