If you have problems with your apps, go to Settings > Accounts > Google. Add your account and then start the Play Store application. Tap on your Play Store > Settings > Build Version. This will force check for the availability of updates. Once it has been updated, restart the phone and you should be able to install apps. Additionally, leave the phone in IDLE mode after the Build version has been tapped.
